vCloud VM Count Pricing Configurations

Hyalto enables you to apply pricing at the VM level within a vCloud Organization virtual data center.  This pricing can be applied in a number of configurations using the Solution Calculation Method and the Virtual Machine Count Payment Type options.

The Calculation Method offers two options – Average and Peak

The Payment Type also offers two options – Recurring Usage and Recurring Flat Fee

As a rule, the Calculation Method affects the calculation for the number of Units and the Payment Type affects the calculation of Duration.  These variables used in conjunction with each other offer four distinct combinations which affect how fees are applied for billing purposes.  They are as follows:

Calculation Method = Average;  Payment Type = Recurring Usage

Both the Unit and Duration value are averaged over the reporting period.

Calculation Method = Average;  Payment Type = Recurring Flat Fee

The Unit value is averaged over the reporting period and the Duration value set to the maximum value over the reporting period.

Calculation Method = Peak;  Payment Type = Recurring Usage

The Unit value set to the highest unit value recorded over the reporting period and the Duration value set to the averaged over the reporting period.

Calculation Method = Peak;  Payment Type = Recurring Flat Fee

Both the Unit and Duration values are set to their highest value recorded over the reporting period.
