In the upper right corner of the Automator configuration screen, you will find a download button to download the latest version of the virtual appliance template for that Automator type. Alternatively, you can copy the URL and use the OVF Deployment Wizard to download the template during Step 1.

Once downloaded, deploy the template in your vCenter datacenter using the deploy wizard.

Fill in the six sections as follows:

  • Hostname (optional) – Give the adaptor a hostname.

  • DHCP support - If you’ve selected ‘no’, then continue filling out the template. If you’ve selected ‘yes’, click Next and leave everything else blank.

  • IP Address – Enter the private IP for the virtual appliance in CIDR format (x.x.x.x/yy)

  • Gateway IP – Enter the Gateway that the Service Adaptor is behind.

  • Primary/Secondary DNS (optional) DNS Server – You may must use your own DNS or a public DNS server depending on your setup. If you use private, make sure the ASA can resolve outside of your network.a DNS server that is able to resolve vSphere’s internal Fully Qualified Domain Name (e.g. vcenter.company.fqdn) as well as public DNS records (e.g. inbound.hyalto.com)
