Create a vCloud Automator
Now that the HyAlto Service Adaptor is powered on and ready, you can purchase a vCloud Director Automator in HyAlto. The Automator will allow you to manage your vCloud Director from HyAlto and map certain VMs or organizations to the HyAlto Client.
Follow these steps to setup the Automator:
From the main screen select “Marketplace” from the side pane. A list of available Automator’s will appear for you to purchase. Click on vCloud Director Automator.
There are 4 steps to follow to create the Automator:
Step 1. Identify Service – Give your Automator a name.
Step 2. Service Adaptor URL – Put in the HyAlto Service Adaptor HTTPS IP address and port, along with any DNS IP’s that the adaptor is using.
Step 3. vCloud Director credentials – Enter in your vCloud Director’s HTTPS IP address, a user with system admin rights (user@vsphere.local), and its password.
Step 4. AMQP Credentials – The vCloud Adaptor requires an AMQP server. Enter in the HTTP IP address of the AMQP server, the exchange, vHost, and prefix that vCloud is using, as well as AMQP username and password with admin rights to the AMQP.
Once all fields are completed, click on configure vCloud. The configure steps will begin to setup the Automator.
Once a green checkmark is displayed for all 8 steps, and you acknowledge that the Automator will start communicating with your vCloud, the sync will begin.
The Automator will now start to sync all your vCloud resources into HyAlto. You can follow the progress by clicking on the “Sync Progress” button.
Once the sync is complete, you will be able to manage resources and map organizations and external networks to HyAlto Clients.
